The Days of Boston’s history

If I were a colonist in Boston between 1770-1774, I would be against British Rule for many reasons . On event that would put me against the British Rule is the Tea Act. This caused problems for ever colonist.

The Tea Act was agreed and passed by Parliament in 1773. It kept rules on importing tea. This was a suggesting form the  British East India Company. This was passed so that there would be less smuggling and so that they could make more profit from taxes. Many colonist and smugglers feared this British Tea from the Company. They thought they would make no profit because people would buy the tea for a cheaper price. Also, people were scared that the Company would take over the tea that was brought to them.

In a result, the colonist used boycott so that the company wouldn’t make money. Also they used propaganda, where the only had details to support themselves. This resulted them to have the Boston Tea Party. This is where they destroyed shipments of tea.

My feelings for this event is that I think that they had the right to do what the did because it was the way of survival and they are know trying to make as much profit as possible so that the colony could hold up and that families could come.
